With your transactions being processed by the smart contract on Ethereum network, technically, the info about your transaction is passed from node to node, which are decentralized and may be geographically located anywhere around the world.

On our part, we will take all possible measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable law.

The xEther project is working on the smart-contract, which is a Ethereum network-based algorithm.

The main Ethereum network principles, that enhance your data protection are encryption and hashing.

Hashing is a one-way transformation of data to an unreadable string of data (hash value). With encryption you are having a both way transformation. You cypher data with a certain key, so it becomes unreadable. Knowing this key, you can always decypher this unreadable piece of data to the original value.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the website, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the website. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 18, please

You may review, change, or terminate your account within our platform at any time. Information about your transactions on Ethereum network is immutable and totally accessible.

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

We also feel obliged to inform you that, since the transfers you make to the xEther investment address, are carried over the Ethereum network, you cannot change or delete information about your transaction on it. It is immutable. Deleting it contradicts the whole Ethereum network nature, rendering it useless.

Also, your transactions on Ethereum network are completely transparent. Which complies with a user’s right to access their data and be aware of how it’s being handled (Art. 15 GDPR). Using an explorer and having a user’s public address, it is possible to view their holdings and the transactions that they have carried out. This adds a degree of integrity and accountability as to how we operate with your funds, while not disclosing any sensitive personal information or enabling to identify you personally.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
